Job Title: Associate – Legal

Department: Legal Team

Location: Thane

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Alternate Saturdays

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, providing intellectual property (IP) support, offering consultations on labor laws, delivering general legal advice, and assisting in the recovery of outstanding dues. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong legal background and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  2. Provide support in the development and updating of contract templates and standard terms.
  3. Assist in managing the company’s IP portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  4. Provide guidance on IP-related matters and ensure protection of the company’s intellectual property assets.
  5. Offer legal consultations on labor and employment laws.
  6. Provide general legal advice and support to various departments within the organization.
  7. Conduct legal research and keep the team updated on relevant legal developments.
  8. Assist in the recovery of outstanding dues, including drafting legal notices and coordinating with external agencies if necessary.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution. Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a legal role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  3. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  4. In-depth knowledge of commercial contracts, IP laws, and labor regulations.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. High level of professionalism and integrity.
