ABOUT JUS CORPUS

Jus Corpus is a body of legal professionals who have come together to bring various aspects and chains of law under a single umbrella. The inspiration was derived from the ever-growing need of Law Students. Jus Corpus has also incorporated an interdisciplinary journal as its subsidiary named as the ‘Jus Corpus Law Journal’.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Ahmar Afaq (Assistant Professor of Law, Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur)

Dr. Ahmar Afaq is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur, and brings a wealth of experience in legal education. Prior to his role in Nagpur, he contributed significantly to Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad and also shared his expertise at the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, his alma mater.
With eight years of teaching experience, Sir has also established the Centre for Human Rights at SLS-H and has been its head for four years. Notably, he collaborated with Edinboro University, USA, on a research project focused on the Rohingya Refugees.

An accomplished author, he has five books and contributed to numerous papers published in esteemed national and international journals. Dr. Afaq’s research interests span family laws, human rights, and the intersection of women and the law, reflecting his commitment to advancing legal scholarship and understanding.
