About the Opportunity
Athena Legal is looking to hire an Associate for its Core Criminal Practice Team, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about advancing their careers in criminal law.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 2-5 years of practice in criminal law.
- Court Experience:
- Appeared before trial courts for hearings and proceedings.
- Represented clients in criminal appeals, revisions, and quashing matters before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.
- Argued bail applications effectively.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in conducting cross-examinations and other trial court proceedings.
- Thorough understanding of criminal procedural laws and evidence laws.
- Ability to assist clients during investigation processes, ensuring their rights are protected.
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Representing clients in criminal trials, appeals, and revisions across various courts.
- Arguing bail applications, managing quashing petitions, and handling other criminal law matters.
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings, petitions, and other legal documents.
- Assisting clients in investigations and pre-litigation processes.
- Conducting thorough research on case laws, statutory provisions, and legal precedents.
- Collaborating with senior advocates and the internal legal team for effective case strategies.
