The Centre for Law and Economics (CLE), established under the aegis of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P), aims to promote research in the intertwined fields of Law and Economics, understanding the critical interdependence between the state of the economy and economic laws. CLE’s mission is to advance the study of Law and Economics by providing a robust framework of laws and regulations that protect the economic system and accommodate the country’s economic aspirations. It is the economic models and tools that help in economic analysis of law. By integrating economic analysis into legal frameworks, CLE aims to create efficient, fair, and sustainable laws that govern economic activities. The Centre ensures the legal system protects economic interests and adapts to the dynamic needs of the economy. Through research, policy advocacy, and educational initiatives, CLE strives to shape a robust legal and economic environment that supports the nation’s growth and development aspirations.

ABOUT CTIL

The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) was established in the year 2016 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). The Centre’s primary objective is to provide sound and rigorous analysis of legal issues pertaining to international trade and investment law to the Government of India and other governmental agencies. The Centre is aiming to create a dedicated pool of legal experts who could provide technical inputs for enhancing India’s participation in international trade and investment negotiations and dispute settlement. The Centre also aims to be a thought leader in the various domains of international economic law such as WTO law, international investment law and legal issues relating to economic integration.

The Interdisciplinary Conference on Law, Economics, and AI, organized by the Centre for Law & Economics, DNLU, in collaboration with CTIL, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India, serves as an innovative platform. It brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders to shape the future landscape across sectors like agriculture, healthcare, banking, trade, education, and judiciary. The conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, showcase research, and propose technology-driven solutions, generating actionable insights and policy recommendations for a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive future.

FORMATTING GUIDELINES

  • All articles must follow a uniform citation style the 20th edition of the bluebook. Please use a 10-point Times New Roman font without spacing.
  • All figures, images, tables, etc. should be embedded into the original file. All figures and images should be cited in the manuscript in consecutive order. Tables should also be cited consecutively in the text.
  • Each table must have a descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be included in the column heading. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that information in each reference is complete and accurate.
  • All the references in the text should be numbered consecutively in superscripts and their details should be given consecutively at the end of the paper.
  • Full-length research papers should be within 4000-6000 words, including footnotes.
  • Page Margin: Normal (2.54 cm each side), body 12 points Times New Roman Font.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Title and Authorship Information: The following information should be submitted through a Google Form in a separate word file. The complete title of the manuscript in 16-point Times New Roman Font. A short bio-note of the author(s) not exceeding 100 words along with the institutional affiliation and email address.
  • Abstracts of minimum 300 and maximum 500 words (excluding keywords) are invited, submitted as Word documents (.doc/.docx), along with a separate file containing author(s)’ name, email ID, designation, and contact details. Minimum keywords: 4-5 words.
  • The manuscript must be submitted on the understanding that It has not been published elsewhere. We do not accept multiple and simultaneous submissions. If any manuscript is found plagiarized, it will be outrightly rejected without giving a second chance.

REGISTRATION FEES

For undergraduate and post-graduate students (from legal and non-legal discipline): Rs. 5000/- (with accommodation) and Rs. 3000/- (without accommodation).

For Academics, professionals, lawyers, advocates, research scholars from legal and non-legal discipline: Rs. 7000/- (with accommodation) and Rs. 5000/- (without accommodation).

For DNLU Students: Rs. 1500/- (without accommodation).Fees to be paid only after the Abstract Selection. The selected abstracts will be notified through email.
