About the Internship
The Office of a Lok Sabha Member of Parliament is offering a Research Internship for the Winter Session of Parliament 2024. This role provides a rare opportunity for aspiring policy professionals to gain firsthand experience in the parliamentary process, legislative research, and policy analysis. Interns will work closely with the Member of Parliament’s team on various initiatives, helping shape meaningful contributions to ongoing legislative efforts.
Position: Research Intern
- Location: Delhi

- Internship Duration: Mid-November through the end of the Winter session of Parliament (dates aligned with the parliamentary calendar)
Responsibilities
As a research intern, you will be involved in high-impact projects designed to build essential research and communication skills:
- Drafting Parliamentary Questions and Speeches: Supporting the MP in preparing questions for parliamentary sessions, as well as drafting speeches and responses.
- Preparing Policy Briefs and Summarizing Reports: Researching and summarizing key policy issues, creating concise and informative briefs for the MP’s use.
- Analyzing Current Events: Conducting research on current affairs and policy issues, providing context and insights for legislative discussions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Research and Writing: Strong skills in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information, with an ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively with a small team under tight deadlines.
- Interest in Public Policy: A genuine passion for governance, legislative processes, and public affairs.
