Role Overview
DS Legal seeks a dedicated Associate for its Transaction/Non-Litigation team, specialising in IPR and Media Law. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in:
- Trademark Filings: Assisting clients with trademark registration processes, including conducting trademark searches, filing applications, and navigating responses to examination reports.
- Trademark Prosecution: Managing all aspects of trademark prosecution, including opposition, rectification, and appeals.
- Drafting Agreements: Proficiency in drafting and reviewing agreements related to Media, Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), and Intellectual Property Law, such as licensing, confidentiality agreements, IP assignment, and distribution contracts.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of intellectual property law, especially trademarks.
- Exceptional drafting, communication, and research skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and detail orientation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to offer practical legal advice to clients.
